TIFF | Essentials Lounge 5
Back for its fifth year, the Essentials Lounge hits another high note for Toronto-based media, personalities and TIFF goers! For those of you that have been following my social feeds, Daniel and I have been all over the freaking place this TIFF season and there’s one space that’s JUST for us. “Committed to sending members of the press into the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) with the best possible odds of survival” the Essentials Lounge has us covered for pre, during and post-TIFF situations.
We don’t know where we’re going to end up, who we’ll be running into and those long day & nights by day 3 has already taken a toll . So to make sure we’re carpet, party and interview ready; the Essentials Lounge is hands down the best thing. Ever. Need my face in check? SkinCeuticals, WINKS Boutique & tarte Cosmetics got that in order. Nails and feet looking fresh? Micro-Nail, Micro-Pedi & Rockport made my life easier! And post-TIFF to get my body relaxed and fully recovered, I have the help of Your Tea & quiet reading by Lisa Genova’s ‘Still Alice.’
Y’all know I need my hair in check and it wasn’t difficult to make myself right at home at the Schwarzkopf Professional studio at the lounge – oh! And coffee. All of the coffee in my mouth. Local Liberty Village coffee spot, Balzacs made an appearance this year and I couldn’t have been happier!
Other familiar and favourites present at the lounge were, Calvin Klein Underwear, Viviscal, Bath & Body Works, The Good Press, Crest, Vitamin Water, Kosmea Australia, Pretend Tan & Powerocks
I know they never get enough praise for their hard work, sleepless nights, industry headaches and countless hours of planning & prep – but these two behind the Essentials Lounge are the crowning glory. We, I, can’t thank you enough for all that you do! You’re both superstars – and your team of interns, helpers and organizers are all brilliant in everything that you do. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
