As many of you may know, this year’s Toronto International Film Festival has been a major focus for FASHIONIGHTS and Daniel’s site and with that focus comes the countless parties we try to make it to. Although we aim for many, we can’t always be at everything. Because we also want to sleep. But if there was one NOT to miss, it was Giorgio Armani’s exclusive cocktail party held at the CN Tower. Yes. The. ACTUAL. CN. TOWER.

Roberta Armani and Academy Award-winning producer and director Edward Zwick celebrated the world premiere of Films of City Frames with an exclusive cocktail party at the tower with DJ Mark Ronson spinning and a guest list of a slew of A-Listers!

Continuing his legacy of supporting emerging talent in various cultural art forms, from fashion to cinema, with this special partnership. Films of City Frames, created in collaboration with Luxottica and Rai Cinema, is an initiative that involved the work of six prestigious international film schools. The students were given the task of creating short films that feature caught moments, metropolitan landscapes, and emotional situations, using Giorgio Armani’s Frames of Life glasses as a perceptual filter.

It’s always amazing seeing who actually shows up because there are always rumours as to who actually will show up…like Shemar Moore was suppose to make an appearance, even Cara Delevingne was being throw around – but neither showed up. BUT, and a HUGE BUT because Denzel Washington AND Richard Gere popped by and IT WAS GLORIOUS!

A HUGE thanks to Le Chateau for dressing both Daniel and myself for the evening in full looks. Obviously, yours truly styled the entire team – opting for shorts for myself. Yes, shorts for the evening.

Catherine’s dark look of a quilted jacket and ponte knit dress all Liu Jo; (I blogged the 2014 Pre-Fall ad campaign!) honestly, she probably was the stand out between the three of us. She looked phenomenal. Oh, and we can’t forget Nadine Hajjaj for doing her make up and hair and for completing the vision I had!

Check out some great black carpet candids shot by Ryan Stever for FASHIONIGHTS.
