TIFF | NKPR IT Lounge Portrait Studio 2014
As the Toronto International Film Festival comes to an end I can’t help but have a bitter sweet emotion about it. I’m so glad and grateful for all the things I had to opportunity of seeing and doing and the films I managed to watch but I’m glad it’s over. Long, tiring and exciting all at the same time; for 10 days I’m literally in over drive – thankfully this year I had Daniel to alleviate some of the stress.
This year I wanted you to enjoy in some of the festivities and live it up like a celebrity with my Live the #TIFF14 Life From the NKPR IT Lounge Portrait Studio #NKPRIT14 and thank you all for entering! Rounding up one of favourite lounges to attend and with another year behind us – here are just SOME of the familiar faces that made it through the doors of the IT Lounge.
The IT Lounge has also served as a sanctuary to media looking to recharge and relax during the hustle and bustle of the festival. Guests were prepped by Tweezerman with a brow and lash bar, and preview Brush iQ. Rudsak unveiled their 20th anniversary capsule collection, featuring their always edgy, rebel cool leather pieces. IT Lounge guests got to unwind in the iconic TD Green Chairs and were treated to Barilla Pasta by chiefs from Cibo Wine Bar. Goody showcased their 360-degree hairstyle glamcam. Christian Rex rocked and rolled, displaying their skull and crystal necklaces, bracelets and rings. Vancouver-based wellness company Saje’s Pocket Pharmacy presented a film festival must-have with a suite of essential oils that calm nerves, relieves pain, boost immunity and more! Manhattan-trained, Yorkville-based cosmetic surgeon Dr. Ashlin Alexander shared details of procedures that make stars red carpet- and camera-ready. Media were the “stars” of a Cronenberg-style shoot in partnership with Photostar. Once the shoot wrapped, guests were treated to bottlegreen, Eat Nakd, Yogen Fruz, Tequila Tromba, FIJI Water, DAVIDsTEA, Yo Sox and more. Décor dynamo Caspar Haydar from the NK Artist talent division once again transform NKPR headquarters while incorporating elements of the Portrait Studio era of cool theme.
