Runway | Cashmere Collection 2021: New Belle Époque

Genia Evalina – Montreal, QC

COME ONE, COME ALL to the annual Cashmere Collection! I say COME ALL because this will be the first time the 18th annual Cashmere Collection: New Belle Époque will be televised.

This year’s collection theme celebrates the iconic, boundary-pushing era of turn of the 20th century France, which signaled a renaissance-like emergence of innovation in fashion, culture, and technology, fueled by optimism following years of hard times – hi, much like this global pandemic we’re living through.

Matthew Gallagher – Toronto, ON
Antonio Ortega – Montreal, QC

The annual fund-and-awareness raiser in support of the breast cancer cause hosted an intimate, in-person runway show that, for the first time ever, will appear as a TV special, Cashmere Couture for the Cure. Viewers can tune into this exciting glimpse behind the Bathroom Tissue curtain, hosted by The Social’s Melissa Grelo and Etalk’s Tyrone Edwards with special guest Joe Zee, airing on CTV on Friday, October 8, 2021, 7PM EST and subsequently available on Crave.

The one and only
Yours truly, Farly Chatto (former Cashmere Collection Curator & Designer) & Daniel Reyes Cocka

As always, Canadians can create meaningful impacts by voting for their winning design through Vote Couture for the Cure® at CashmereVoteCouture.com and Cashmere will donate $1 (to a maximum of $15,000), to the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) and Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation (QBCF) breast cancer efforts in the winning designer’s name. Voters will also be entered for a chance to win a $1,500 cash prize
