Food & Lifestyle | ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS

I like to consider myself well-rounded when it comes to my life. I can keep up with Julio and our blogger friends in the world of fashion and events, wine, restaurants, balance out my worklife and all things Toronto. But, one of my favourite realms is the domestic and culinary world. So when we had the opportunity to attend the #CookingWithZwilling event celebrating Zwilling J.A. Henckels Canada and their various lines I had to jump at the chance to see what was new and exciting in the kitchen!

Greeted by our friends at NKPR, the event was beautifully setup with special appearances by my favourite brand of water, Bottle Green Sparkling (above).

We were given a chance to interact with the products and taste specially crafted dishes with the knowledgable brand representatives that walked us through the product lines. Cooking stations were set up along the venue with different “personalities” that we the consumer might identify with. As a full product line, Zwilling has something for every kitchen “personality” there is. From premium flatware for luxurious dinner parties to multi-purpose ceramic cookware and accessories. And I have to say, I want it all now that I’ve had the chance to see it all in person!

Celebrating their 110th Anniversary in Canada, this is not your average flash in the pan kitchen company or plastic kitchy products you might find out there.  Quality is key, and craftmanship comes first. Their slogan says it all, “Passion for the best.”  So, here are a few of our FASHIONIGHTS must haves from the event:

Le Gourmand

The Master Chef in all of us would immediately see the necessity for these professional products.  The new Zwilling® Sensation Cookware Collection, made in Belgium, is a 5-Ply core material which ensures stability and efficiency in the kitchen. But not only that, it’s Silvinox® technology makes it long lasting, and more importantly one sexy line of pots and pans for your kitchen. Pair that with a Zwilling® Pro Chef’s Knife set and you’ve got a kitchen ready to prepare a feast and look good doing it.

The Busy Bee

We are all too busy and hectic these days to be able to throw together a five star meal everytime.  So why not prepare them in advance and use the latest Staub Ceramics to go from the freezer, to the oven and to the table?  Made in France, they come is four designer colours in multiple sizes for any kind of chef and any kind of home.  A must have for us all to help make our lives a little easier, and let’s be honest, who couldn’t use the help?

The Grill Master

With the summer finally here, BBQ season is in full swing.  But that doesn’t mean you have to limit yourself and your menu to charred burgers and hotdogs anymore either!  The Miyabi 6000MCT Artisan Collection knives were certainly my must haves, due both to their premium craftmanship and stunning Cocobolo Pakkawood handles.

Alongside the La Cocotte “French Oven” enamelled cast iron cookware from Staub, you can guarantee my BBQ’s won’t be lacking in originality and aesthetics this summer.  Make sure yours don’t either.

The Sweet Tooth

How could I not talk about dessert and miss one of my favourite parts of any meal?  The Demeyere Collections made in Belgium has got you covered when it comes to preparing the pièce de résistance to impress any guest.  Sleak and functional, and designed to achieve perfection, these items in your kitchen will complete your culinary life. Of that I have no doubt in my mind after seeing them in action.

Cutlery, Cookware, Tableware, Tools & Gadgets… they have it all! The full product line is avaliable online at Zwilling.com and The Hudson Bay Company locations throughout the country.
