Runway | Coach Fall 2019
Coach recently presented its Fall 2019 men’s & women’s collection during New York Fashion week at the American Stock Exchange to an audience that included actor current face of the brand, Michael B. Jordan; actress and current face of the brand’s fragrance, Chloe Grace Moretz alongside Maisie Williams; Lakeith Stanfield; Dylan Sprouse & Charlie Puth to name a few.
This season, creative director, Stuart Vevers goes dark & moody where psychedelic prints in light fabrics are juxtaposed against exaggerated proportions & textured outerwear. It’s been awhile since I’ve reviewed a runway show but there was something about the use of colour with this collection that spoke to me, spoke volumes.
Granted the colours were predominately dark hues but their handmade feel of artisanal fabrics contrasted against the natural earthy tones made for a great balance of light & dark, heavy & light. Does that make sense? Is it just me? What do you all think?
