#FSNTravels | Traveling with Hello at Catalonia Hotel & Spa Royal Tulum (III)

Continuing from Day 5 post-snorkling and riding the Aqua Twister at Aqua World we headed back to the Catalonia Royal Tulum to shower, change and prep for a night out (of you guessed it) partying! But first, dinner. Hopping onto our transfer (the area’s term for transportation of large 6-8 seater vans that Hello can book for you without any headache!) we headed back into Playa Del Carmen where we had an elaborate dinner at seafood restaurant, La Peñita de Jaltemba. Located in the heart of the bustling energy of Playa Del Carmen, the dynamic hot spot has glorious seafood dishes that my words won’t give them justice – look at photos. Delicious.

Then there’s Coco Bongo (Playa Del Carmen), this almost other-worldy experience – a venue that is part club, part concert, part show production of well known movie scenes and characters that’ll have you awe. Between these show performances it’s sheer party atmosphere – and I mean this is the best way – fucking nuts. It’s borderline madness and people are just there to have the BEST TIME. I  don’t think I’ve had more fun in a club than I did at Coco Bongo. Now I HAVE to visit the Punta Cana and Cancun locations.

Our last full day was quiet, (thankfully, because hang over) having most of the day to enjoy in Catalonia Royal Tulum’s food, beach & pool. The bittersweet feeling of having to leave the next afternoon was saddening but we put that aside and headed back into Playa Del Carmen with our group for our last Mexican dinner at Maíz de Mar. A taco bar from the mind of mega chef, Enrique Olvera to cater to the laid-back and lively population of Playa. We had so much food I barely made it to the mains, a great sign from me when I’m just shoveling food down my mouth.

Our last morning was an early one with me packing our luggage and a last minute agreement for breakfast with what was left of the group of bloggers and the amazing duo of Hello (Clara & Maria) at Royal Tulum’s posh BELOVED Lounge & Restaurant. My last beach snap of the week (below) from my seat during breakfast I can’t help but get a little emotional, not because I miss the warmth, water or Mexico as a whole but more so the experience. The real experience of culture, adventure and most of all the interaction between peoples. English, Spanish, Italian, French or whatever your native tongue is, it’s those social interactions that you remember the most, take with you back home and cherish for years to come. And that’s what the #HelloExperience is about, it’s not just a trip, it’s not just a vacation and it isn’t a cheesy souvenir – it’s a memory; a constant reminder that you can feel at home and welcomed somewhere you have no idea about.

A endless stream of gratitude, love and applause for all the people involved with our trip; from Hello & Catalonia to the resort staff & venues that made us feel at home. Thank you Mexico for one of the most memorable and enjoyable travel experiences of my life.
