Look Book | Jeff Koons For Louis Vuitton #LVxKoons
Every glorious piece from the Louis Vuitton X Jeff Koons collection in all it’s high def perfection! Following the well-received collab with Supreme during the menswear show the luxury fashion house just put me into cardiac arrest with this newest collaboration with contemporary artist, Jeff Koons.
Koons, who has inspired many (including Lady Gaga’s ENTIRE Artpop album) holds the record for the most expensive piece of work by a living artist – his iconic, “Balloon Dog” sculptures raked in $58.4 million at auction; making this Vuitton’s most high profile collaboration with an artist to date!
The collaboration is inspired by Koons’s “Gazing Ball” paintings and features prints of several iconic masterpieces from artists including da Vinci, Titian, Rubens, Fragonard and Van Gogh painted across classic Louis Vuitton bags including the Speedy, Neverfull and the Keepall. Each bag features the name of the artist in bold metallic print across the front, Koons’ initials opposite Louis Vuitton’s monogram in the same style. And Koons’ signature inflatable rabbit replaces the typical tag and is also featured on keychains!
The New York Times reports keychains ring in at $585 US to the Keepall tagged at $4,000 US.
