My favourite show during Toronto Fashion Week, Lucian Matis’ Fall 2012 collection. Held in possibly the most gorgeous room in the Fairmount Royal Hotel, Matis showcased his ethereal Fall collection to a wide-eyed audience.
Feathers, tulle, over-sized lace details and a colour scheme of predominantly black, the collection was out of this world! This is my final walk of the collection! God, that long train feathered gown! EVERYTHING!!
The third video of Jean Paul Gaultier’s The Serial Designer for Diet Coke is out and this is probably my least favourite. Here The Serial Designer makes over Eleanor, with an outfit that could kill.

Here the The Serial Designer takes Bernadette’s party hang-over nightmare and turns into a magical sailor-striped dream!

The day of the Mackage Fall 2012 show I was over the moon because the show’s initial invite stated that Rick Genest AKA Zombie Boy AKA Rico would walk for the Montreal-based label.
I snapped a picture of Rick and I and I’ll post it once I get the runway shots of the collection. In the mean time, this is the collection’s final walk.
Toronto Fashion Week(s) madness has begun and I’m super stocked for this season! Kicking off this season was the recent take over of Wesley Badanjak of the BASCH line that was at the helm of Brandon Dwyer - since then the label has undergone changes, for the better? That’s still to be determined, nonetheless that’s not the topic right.
Badanjak’s collection for LOVAS was decent. With varying fabrications like tweed, chenille, silk charmeuse and plenty of offerings of knits, Badanjak’s Fall 2012 was safe, and extremely commercial.
Asking around in the crowd and an unanimous conclusion was that we all would have liked to have seen a different colour palette including taking risks. But I mean, you can’t blame the guy, that’s his clientele. Middle aged suburban women - to each their own, right?
This, ladies and gentlemen is the reason why we buy expensive shoes. An inside look into the making of a Louis Vuitton men’s shoe with its painstakingly detailed cutting, stitching, buffing and painting that sets the bar. Honestly, sat watching this video MESMORIZED!
