TIFF | Diesel & ONEXONE Present: Lupe Fiasco, Kardinal Offishall + more
This was it! A concert during TIFF that had the public, celebs and myself jumping around like monkeys!! Diesel & ONEXONE presented a sick concert that consisted the talents of Lupe Fiasco, Kardinal Offishall, Melanie Fiona, Jully Black and more.
Thanks to my friends at Diesel here in Canada, I was invited to join the likes of Stereos, band member, Daniel (who has become a regular on Fashionights), local Toronto personalities and employees of Diesel from around Canada, to the VIP Diesel Lounge. Strategically placed, in front of the stage, at a perfect distant that we overlook the crowd, it was as if we had front row seats! Except with an open bar, jelly beans and 5-Star hors d’oeuvres.
I got to meet some new friends! LOVE Fashion Friends! So hoping that Ben, who works at Diesel Flagship store in Toronto would be there (because he said he would be), but ended up being a no show, boo! Nonetheless, had a B.L.A.S.T. and regret nothing.
I totally thought that Kardinal was a major bust, but I get why people like him. Ok, there I said it; he definitely gets an entire room moving!

MMVA | VOCAB Lounge 2011
It’s been a year since the last VOCAB Lounge where I met Jersey Shore’s Snooki and I was taken with the pint-sized reality star, but more taken with the set-up and high vibration atmosphere of the VOCAB Lounge.
This year, The VOCAB Lounge kicked it up a notch, actually make that 10 notches with perfectly stationing it’s self in the ING Direct building, in Toronto’s downtown core!
This being another one of the MMVAs gifting lounges that I attended, it was by far my favourite! With familiar faces like the GAFAS and Kings Of Past boys, Daniel from Stereos, and my favourite power-house country singer, Tara Oram (whom I met at the FERKNOT launch). Asides the great things we get at gifting lounges and the new and budding products and brands we all learn about; it’s the people and friends that make things fun and exciting!

Behind The Scenes | On Set with STEREOS For Body Move
Last week I was invited to hang out with everyone from the STEREOS team for their new video and also to snap up some behind-the-scenes shots for you guys!
STEREOS shot the video for their second single Body Move from their sophomore album Uncontrollable. The guys are so down to earth and totally easy to talk to! Oh, and remember I also let you guys know a while back that STEREOS will be headlining their Canadian tour alongside our favourite boys, NEVEREST? We’re pumped for that, and there may or may not be some surprise dates for that concert! Stay tuned!

Music | STEREOS Announce Canadian Tour
We’re huge supporters of Canadian talent, and FASHIONIGHTS will be working closely with musical artists this year and to celebrate our Canadian Music Appreciation; we’re proud to be the first to let you know of Stereos’ Canadian tour.
Edmonton natives and Disband winners, Stereos announce their 2011 headlining Canadian tour in support of their recently released sophomore album, Uncontrollable. Kicking off the tour in North Bay, ON on March 24, 2011 with stops in Edmonton, Victoria and Winnipeg, the JUNO Award-nominated band has prepared a thrilling live show that combines their pop-rock mentality and newly explored electro-club sound.
Previously touring with Hedley and Fefe Dobson in 2010, Stereos are headlining their Canadian tour with support from newcomers, and our favourite boys, Neverest. Tickets go on sale February 18, 2011. So that’s this Friday! Can’t wait to see all these guys on stage!
