Event | LensCrafters RxHIBITION Toronto With Mena Suvari

Did you know that 150 million people in the United States wear glasses and only 11.5% of them wear prescription sunglasses.
So what are the other 88.5% doing, well either not aware that they actually get sunglasses with prescriptions, or too busy squinting and trying to find shade where they can see. This event came to a wonderful relief to me because I for one wear sunglasses with a prescription and how many times do I hear the back-door commentary from the peanut gallery as to why I’m wearing sunglasses indoors and I’m constantly defending my action. Mind you, I’ve long given up that battle.
LensCrafters celebrated the mastery that are prescription sunglasses at The Richmond, (the same great venue that had us for the Gucci Timepieces Collection)where we celebrated and were taught the importance of having the option of prescription sunnies!
The event was attended by Mena Suvari, the actress set to star in the new movie, American Reunion (the American Pie sequel) who shared her support for those who wear prescription sunnies! When asked why she attended the event, Suvari responded, “I’m here at the LensCrafters event which is educating people about the importance of sunglasses with prescription. It’s about how to avoid fashion faux pas by having sunglasses made with your prescription, and LensCrafters makes that easy. Especially with designer name brands like Ray-Ban, Burberry, Tiffany and Tory Burch.”

Guest had the fun task of filling out a questionnaire that had four categories set out: Style Maven, The Classic, The Adventurer and The Connoisseur; all of which each category had 4 styles of sunglasses for us to choose from. The guest’s answers to the questions resulted in their particular style.
Although I ended up being a Style Maven, the choice of sunglasses didn’t suit my face. So I went onto The Classic side where I found a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers that better suited my angular face. Better yet, I also get to put a prescription on these bad boys! Making my life easier!

Check out all the pictures below of Mena Suvari, and Spiro of It’s All Style To Meinterviewing her (make sure to watch it on his site, I make a cameo). Spiro was nice enough to snap a picture of Mena and I together!
