Editorial | ‘He’s No Lady’ FASHION February 2012

Seldom do I blog about Canadian editorials, one, because magazines are readily available in stores and two, well, because they don’t catch my eye. In this case, all eyes fall on Trans-male model, Andrej Pejic in a slew of Canadian designers for the February issue of FASHION magazine. Androgyny’s poster boy is photographed by Moo King.

Denis Gagnon, Martin Lim, Chloé Comme Parris, Arthur Mendonca and Dean Davidson are just some of the Canadian design darlings that Pejic is styled in by George Antonopolous.
Pejic who has walked numerous international runways graced many shows this past season during LG Fashion week like Sid Neigum and Pink Tartan - perhaps Canada should be his second home! We love you AP!!

Preview | Danier Leather A/W 2011/2012

Danier Leather has for the most part been of the favoured destinations for the Canadian market for their must have leather jackets, fashion forward accessories, outstanding quality and reasonable price points. But, it hasn’t been since recent collaborations with other brands - designers specifically, that has solidified this notion for me.
Alongside staples like leather jackets and supple accessories, Danier has moved to capture a different clientele - and target a new demographic for that matter - with capsule collections from leading fashion talents. Diligently finding new ways to work with leathers, Danier uses laser cutting techniques, and their designers have found new ways to work with other fabrications such as knits used in bags and sheered fur for hats and scarves. A wonderful turn around for the Canadian leather brand, one that is certainly welcomed by many!

These two bags are the most expensive of the entire collection due to their extensive amount of labour that goes into them. From the lacing detailing to the studding and lining, these bags are quite the works of art.
