It’s time for my first giveaway of the year, this one is for the ladies! I’m giving away two, yes 2 Chloé fragrances which have recently come out, or set to launch shortly! You all know I’m all about beauty and fragrances and if I can share some with you, I’m doing it! So here’s your chance to win BOTH fragrances!

Freesia and watermelon enhance the initial impression, and touches of sandalwood and fresh iris complete the base. Subtle elegance pervades every layer of this deliciously mischievous scent. The fragrance’s luxurious flacon is graced with an ivory-colored ribbon. Launching February 2012, the 100ML has a retail value of $110 and is available at Sephora, Holt Renfrew and Bay stores across the country.

Beauty | Kristen Stewart for Balenciaga Fragrance

Just finished reading the press release announcing that Balenciaga’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière has chosen Kristen Stewart to be the face of the house’s fragrance.
What’s his justification for such a lude act?!
Kristen Stewart embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence. From her early appearance in ‘Panic Room’ to her independent choice of ‘Welcome to the Rileys,’ I’ve always sensed her progressive character. In 2006, I invited her to appear in a project shot by Bruce Weber. Since then, I’ve always wished to collaborate with her further, knowing that she shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga.
Sensibility and intelligence? What, have you not heard her in conversation, or lack of conversation?! |The blank slate (and I don’t mean that face) that is her personality is void of anything! This is suppose to add validity to your brand? Or fragrance? So disappointing, the brand is perfect, the fragrance spectacular but this choice - a failure. Sorry. I’m still in disbelief!

Coty Inc. announces the launch of Roberto Cavalli’s latest women’s fragrance, Don’t Go Unnoticed, with this behind the scenes look of the ad campaign starring, Elisa Sednaoui.
The fragrance is set to launch at the end of March 2012. Stay tuned for more info once the date approaches!

Ad Campaign | Dolce & Gabbana The One Sport Fragrance

Perfection in male form, otherwise known as Adam Senn is the face for Dolce & Gabbana’s the one sport fragrance campaign!
The ex The City star, is photographed wearing nothing but Dolce & Gabbana Gym shorts by Mariano Vivanco. But the ad reminds me a lot of the latest cover Vivanco shot for DSECTION Magazine - but, this is much hotter!

Marc Jacobs makes history with its first ever television commercial featuring three of Marc Jacobs’ muses: Sophie Srej and Frida Gustovsson from the classic Daisy campaign, and Hannah Holman from the Daisy Eau So Fresh campaign.
The commercial will make its exclusive Canadian debut, this month online across various digital platforms (aka FASHIONIGHTS).

An overtly, and I mean OVERTLY sexual & incredibly homoerotic short film for PAG - A Fragrance For All Creatures features models, Alon Levi and Yotam Peled Daniel Don.
The Israeli-based brand enlist, Roy Raz to direct the video and I’m so thankful they did, because honestly - I’ve never seen something so borderline inappropriate to air. I freaking love it!

Event | A Is For ALDO Fragrance Launch


I already know what you’re thinking, why the f**k is ALDO launching a fragrance. I get it, and not going to lie that was my reaction too when I received the invite to the launch of A Is For ALDO. But that changed once I got some background information and smelling the product!
Having the opportunity to sit down with other bloggers with ALDO’s Director of Marketing, Vyara Ndejuru describes the process and development of the fragrances. When asked, why fragrance, Ndejuru had this to say:
“It’s something that every brand wants to do, kinda like getting married, almost a natural progression - it’s something very nerve racking and inhibiting at the same time. It’s really a celebration of us as an ultimate brand with this idea of creating a fragrance or scent, it’s really like being anointed into The Hall of Fame of brands, so you want to do it right, you want to get married once, you want it to be perfect and you want the perfect set of circumstances where the right partners, the right kind of creative leaderships come together -you want everything to be right and be perfect.”
Great metaphor by comparing it to a marriage, you honestly don’t want to screw it up! The collection features three fragrances for women categorized by Blue, Yellow and Red; each with it’s signature scent and story for the woman wearing it. Available in roll-on pens, convenient! The men’s line see two fragrances of yellow and red (my favourite, very bold, strong scent with a touch of musk) encased in a matte black cube-shaped bottle.

Making their way around the event were lab-coat-wearing individuals with iPads each with a picture personality test (do it, it’s fun!) - the test based on instagram photos, had us pick a preassigned group of photos that determined what our appropriate fragrance colour would be! Fun, but we all know why I was talking to this boy! So cute!

The holidays are here and I’ve got an assortment of gift ideas for you to potentially give to that last person on your list you have no idea what to get! Whether it’s the hostess with the mostest or difficult-to-please coworker, I’m providing practical, fashion forward items!

Ad Campaign | Original Penguin Fragrance For Men

Celebrating it’s first men’s fragrance, Original Penguin enlist model, Guy Robinson for it’s ad campaign. Sharp, wonder how the fragrance smells!

Bottega Veneta’s Creative Director, Tomas Maier and photographer, Bruce Weber present the third and final short film for the launch of the brand’s first women’s fragrance. The first short saw the full official campaign with model, Nine d’Urso seaside for the fragrance’s launch, while the second; a compelling visual journey telling the story of the fragrance.
This film features the behind-the-scenes footage of Bruce Weber’s campaign photo shoot with commentary from Tomas Maier and Nine d’Urso. Elegant!

Beauty | Chanel Les Exclusifs - Jersey

Chanel has long been one of my fragrances of choice and their reputation as being an essential to the beauty industry is undeniable, so naturally when a new fragrance is launched, the world holds it’s breath. The latest addition to Chanel’s Les Exclusifs fragrance line, Jersey is a promising and sultry fusion of delectable lavender, soft vanilla and my favoured musk scent.
Created by Chanel’s master perfumer, Jacques Polge - Jersey is named after one of Chanel’s great innovations. An innovation that changed the early 20th century (and modern fashion to boot) from the female bondage of Belle Epoque corsetry. Jersey, a fabric that was used primarily for men’s undergarments was an innovation that Chanel used to feminize and incorporated it in dresses and tops. (She put women in trousers - and she also put them in menswear undergarments, can you imagine the scandal at the time?!)
The latest fragrance sees to follow in Chanel’s boundary-pushing revolutions, it’s the first fragrance ever to incorporate Lavender in a women’s scent. Feminizing fabrics and feminizing fragrances - a revolutionary moment in fashion and fragrance! God, Chanel, can you do no wrong?!
The fragrance bursts with a signature Chanel-ness smell with it’s lavender top note and then settles on the skin with vanilla and musk follows up for a lasting aroma. The great feature of Chanel fragrances are their versatility to suit both men and women, especially with the Les Exclusifs fragrances. I have yet to test it out on me for an extending period of time, but I’ll be taking it out for a spin at some events this week, so smell me later guys!
