TIFF | The Right Hand Gal Gifting Lounge

Another day, another busy day during the Toronto International Film Festival and on this day, day of which I’ve already forgotten due to chronic fatigue, I had the pleasure to visit The Right Hand Gal gifting lounge.

A gifting suite located in Toronto’s busy InterContinental Hotel with TIFF festivities, lounges and of course celebs themselves sat the quaint The Right Hand Gal suite where I was cheerfully greeted by two pleasant sisters.

A sister team consisting of Shawna & Randi Herlich created The Right Hand Gal Jewelry Company in 2006 driven by the philosophy that: The left hand is reserved for the misters, but the right hand is reserved for the sisters. Their idea has always been to empower women to independently buy their own casual diamond jewelry and create delicate, yet substantial pieces for women to wear everyday.

Now, nothing makes me more proud than seeing a woman take initiative for their fellow woman! The philosophy behind The Right Hand Gal goes beyond the idea of having women buying their own jewelry, but fostering that sisterly bond that brings women from all walks of life together! Such an inspiring pair of women, the Herlich sisters!

Now, this campaign really struck a cord in my heart. The Right Hand Gal create a meaningful piece of jewellery in support of anti-bullying; of which a portion of the proceeds will be donated to various anti-bullying initiatives and campaigns across North America.

The piece proudly named, Noble, a play on the phrase “no bull” and a call to action for people of all ages to stand up against bullies. The Right Hand Gal believes that every person’s voice counts in this global fight and have therefore individually engraved numbers on the back of each pendant. Reminicent of numbered lithographed pieces of art, no two piece are the same.

“By numbering each piece by hand we believe we can create an army of goodwill and make people feel like their support can make a difference; you’re not just another number, you are the only number and your number counts.” comments Shawna Herlich. ”This is a simple yet enormously effective way to encourage awareness and discussion of this very critical issue as it enables people to participate by physically wearing an antibullying symbol.”

The pendant retails for $45 and is available in solid sterling silver or in a unique triple-plated rose or yellow gold vermeil, all of which are accompanied by an 25” brown leather cord. The unisex charm can be worn in a variety of ways such as a traditional necklace, on another chain, or wrapped around the wrist as a bracelet.

Noble will be available exclusively through The Right Hand Gal’s e-commerce store across North America.

Emily Blunt - Noble #167
